new: READY TO SPRING FORWARD

I’m really looking forward to the spring’s upcoming exhibit schedule. There is some “talk” now among the artist’s community about rémy -- A compliment to your great support! I’ve been contacted by several well-collected artists about exhibiting at rémy upon their hearing of how well received the artists who have exhibited have been.

The journey will continue this spring with work that can best be described as more representational. It has been wonderful to present abstract art, and we have found very receptive audiences .

Most art crosses genre boundaries, and in the upcoming months you will see several excellent examples of art that cannot be labeled. I want to thank Celebrate magazine for covering the October opening with Roger Carlisle. I’m overdue in thanking the Town Club staff for working with me to bring a fine art gallery to downtown Fort Smith. You guys are the best!

Our glass artist, James Hayes, has a very nice feature article in the January issue of At Home in Arkansas. rémy will continue representing PJ and Steve Robowski and their gorgeous stained glass panels, following their successful exhibit.

Megan Chapman was interviewed by artist Tim Lane for the "artist interviewing artist blog.” We will continue to exhibit Megan’s work in the casual dining area of the Town Club (on the second floor).

And finally, if you love fine art photography, who doesn’t, then I am very pleased to welcome Michael Leonard to the gallery. Check out his work on the portfolio page!

about : rémy fine art

rémy fine art exhibits contemporary fine art and craft by established artists.
Artists presented in the gallery exhibit regionally, nationally, and in some cases,
internationally.  The artists represented are in command of their medium through academic preparation and experience.

These are artists who make their living in the field of visual arts, and whose work
is collected both privately and corporately.  With these credentials, if a piece of
work speaks to your heart, you can be assured of having selected a quality work
of art, one that will most likely appreciate over time, and more importanly, one
that will enrich your life.

rémy fine art is located in The Town Club at 720 Garrison Avenue, Downtown
Fort Smith.  This historic and beautiful setting enhances the visual experience
of fine art in a relaxed environment.  The featured artist(s) of the month will be
exhibited in the Garden Room and library, both on the main floor of The Town
Club. The work of artists who continue to be shown will be hung upstairs in the
casual and formal dining areas.
